I’m Laura

I was a binge eater in my teens.

I gave up smoking so many times, before I quit.

I kicked my alcohol dependency 5+ years ago.

CBT – cognitive behavioural therapy – together with hypnotherapy, helped me every single time.

So yes, I’m a therapist. A writer and artist. And I’ve been there.

How does Hypnotherapy work?

When you’re relaxed, you can’t feel fear.

Without all that panic and urgency, your creative problem-solving can begin.

In a deep state of hypnosis, you can visualise what else is possible. You can strongly commit to your greater wishes for yourself. Mentally rehearse staying non-reactive in the face of urges. And, your unconscious mind can sponge up new positive self-talk, so you stay deliciously encouraged.

Think of it as imagination therapy.

Stopping addictions, compulsions and numbing, has never been so fun. Or so illuminating.

    CBT and hypnosis will help you break free from the delusion that you ‘need’ a glass of wine, and address your emotional avoidance tendencies. 

    As smoking shortens lifespan and increases risk of other diseases, it’s literally a new lease of life when you stop. 

    But, ‘just quitting’ doesn’t usually cut it. Using CBT coaching, we’ll tease out all of the brain’s justifications that dilute your resolve to stop. We’ll also make sure you don’t replace cigarettes with food.
